WELCOME TO OUR FIRST BLOG!
Welcome to this, our first Manor House Blog! We hope to provide you with interesting news and up to date happenings at The Manor House, West Pentire and Cornwall in general.
Cornwall is a unique county with stunning beaches, a rich maritime history, glorious landscapes and a plethora of attractions to suit everyone. The hamlet of West Pentire is a shining example of this. Currently the fields behind the house under the stewardship of the National Trust are awash with scarlet poppies, yellow corn marigolds, dandelions and charlock. You can never take enough photographs of this colourful and vibrant foreground to the headland and sea below. So on your next visit don't forget that camera or phone!
Great excitement last week as we had a new visitor to our Manor House garden. A rabbit! Didn't seem at all bothered by our slightly overweight golden retriever, Sasha. Probably because our bedding plants were much more important. Let me know if you spot him/her! Perhaps we should call it Dr. Pewsey! I will explain who the real Dr. Pewsey is in my next blog ....
Summer has definitely arrived and the garden chairs and tables and barbecue are ready to be used in the garden. Brightly coloured cushions are available to use in the garden wall seating, a real sun trap.
However The Manor House attracts visitors throughout the year and with this in mind we have just installed brand new electric wall heaters in every room (some rooms now have 2 heaters) which are thermostatically remotely controlled for your added comfort. We now also provide towels and complimentary toiletries and we are delighted with our new shower/wet room downstairs with dual access to the bedroom or the laundry room.
